Dr. Pooja has been a part of theatre since her school times. In her school days she was always on stage. She has performed in Delhi, way back in 1998 at Kamani auditorium in a musical performance - Sound of Music. In Bangalore her theatre journey started right from her college days that’s in 2000. She would be always directing or acting in plays for inter college fest. She began performing at different venues in Bangalore from 2011.

She has performed in more than 200 theatre shows all across Bangalore, and Hyderabad at different venues from Atta Galatta, Rangashankara,Alliance francaise , Rangoli Metro Art Centre, Lamakaan etc. She has performed plays of different genre which include, comedy, horror, drama, plays with a social message, namely, Cut, That night, Room number 111, Family ke side effects, An evening in Ooty, Tumhari Amrita, 3 shots of comedy, Band baja baaraat etc. She has also co written and directed plays like Ladies Compartment, Mens Department and Little humans meet kaya and PTM. She recently acted in a kannada film titled "Chase". She was also a part of many advertisements, for brands like Sudarshan silks, MJ infrastructure, Black stone agarbatti, Amma's bakery, Udaan etc.

She has also acted in a few short films, and recently was nominated as best actress for her short film Saathiya., which was co-scripted and co-directed by her. She is also the recipient of the Nirbhaya Women's achiever Award for her work in theatre.
