Usha's love for theatre from an early age, inspired her to actively explore the world of theatre in her mid-30s, after performing in various roles and forms of theatre, Usha Rao has over 50 performances to her credit, including 25+ performances of the smash hit Ladies Compartment. Usha plays many roles backstage including production, writing and direction of children scripts. Usha also trains children in theatre, conducting regular workshops, and also teaches language via Theatre.

Her association with Being Theatre has been that of an actor, as well as handling the production and marketing for all of Being Theatre productions.
